Occupancy Tax is applicable to “accommodations”, which includes a hotel room, a motel room, a residence, a cabin or cotttage, or a similar lodging facility for occupancy by an individual on a short term basis.
Rental properties must be registered with the Haywood County Finance Office and the HCTDA by filling out the Lodging & Occupancy Tax Form.
