This plan is designed to empower community leaders to guide future growth based on a shared vision for the future. As the local leaders who participated in this process looked 5 or 10 years into the future, their goals for Haywood County are:
• To protect the things that make the area special;
• To attract the right kinds of visitors who align with and support our vision;
• To foster the development of new, complimentary destination assets; and
• To support smart economic growth and improved quality of life for our residents.
